On the Aesthetic

Black metal album art has a specific look: overexposed, high-contrast, shot on cheap film in the middle of nowhere, logo scratched out by hand until it’s nearly unreadable. No polish. No committee. Just one person’s very committed vision, badly photocopied and handed out at a show.
This site is going for the same effect with slightly better uptime. Bone-white text on near-black, one accent color used sparingly, a logo that’s legible but only just. It’s still a blog underneath. It just refuses to look friendly about it.
